kid growing up in Amarillo, Tx and learned every word to all of your
songs. They were and still are very dear to me and I wanted to let you
know that I loved your music then and continue to follow you with your new
stuff. I am an actor and clothing designer of my own company here in Hollwood,

| Hi, My name is Alan Spencer and I am a Western Australian lad who grew up in the Goldfields listening to LOBO in the seventies. Currently I am living in Perth. An interesting turn on my journey with LOBO happened when I joined the army in 1980 – I was a nervous seventeen year old then with a LOBO tape tucked under my wing along with my swag – Not too many people had heard of him back then but by the time I completed my service duty – plenty of my mates did! I then fell in love with a girl who had the LOBO tape of “Come with me” in her collection. The title song tormented me in a mysterious way – I guess you could have called it “Love at first sight” and yes I married her 18 months later – Now one of my sons is a LOBO man in his twenties. So there you go! – I was influenced by the heart felt written songs delivered by a talented man who touched me and many others with his way with words. May I say a special “Thank You” to Roland Kent LaVoie or better known as “LOBO” for sharing your music when I needed it most. WHY... because it helped shape me into becoming a better man.
