You're my NO.1 singer/songwriter and I never tire of listening to you -even my wife is a fan now ! Regretted not being able to attend your concert in Genting Highlands last year due to unavoidable family committment but saw the clips provided by BS Lee ( great job, Lee ! ). My consolation was I saw you in concert in Penang, Malaysia in the early 1970's when you were 'hot' ( you're still are to me ! ).
Well, I'm glad to see that you're still playing at concerts - you should, just to satisfy your fans around the world, yunno ! Chanced upon the album Best of Lobo back in 89 & got crazily hooked on. I went about madly trying to catch hold of any albums available ( not much help in Kerala, India). Few years later I met a music dealer who was as crazy, so together we got hold of a few albums. Now I have a few but still not enough. These cassettes are one of the few treasures carried forward with me in time for last 16 yrs. Greatest Treasure. Thanx LOBO, for these beautiful songs. & moreso thanx for this site.

during the mid-late 60's, I led a band called the Trojans(The Kids are Alright/Leave Me Be - Chas.Fuller Studios),etc; anyway, the 'Beats release (see above) was always one of my favorites by a local band. However, I had no idea it was written by Brooke Chamberlain! I knew him briefly, when I would occasionaly hang out at the old WALT studios on Cass St. Brooke was always on the "cutting edge" with new hip releases and,as I recall,he sang a little too. I bopped in from T.Webb's Garage Bands - a little exercise for the caverns of my mind. Thanks for the time, space & memories! MR

We just changed music formats at one of the radio stations for which I am General Manager, and now play many hits of the 70s and 80s, so that includes Lobo, of course! I started as a high schooler in the radio business and Lobo was one of those artists we played a lot of, his hits and other cuts from the albums too. I born in 1981.I have ever heard this song when I was 12 years old,then, I love it.
After the first song, I tried to find the others,the next is "my first time".
Then,I tried to find any song,but so sadly that no news of lobo in thailand,and when I asked the seller for lobo,he said " what is it?",after that,he said,"it's too old for you."
Now, I find the new collection of lobo in thailand,yes,so glad.But it's only 20 songs. I know more than 20 from my try but I can't find any album. Oh, someone help me please..

Been a fan since the Introducing Lobo album came out. Lost track of him after the Mike Curb album (1979). Found this web site several years ago and thanks to Sam got 3 of the 90's CDs. Incredible to hear that voice again singing wonderful new songs after 20 years. And now at last I've gotten to meet Lobo personally, and that first album cover bears his signature. And Lobo is every bit as nice a guy as you could hope for.

You are one of the few singers where I enjoy listening to just about every one of your songs. Your singing is always pleasant and enjoyable. I wonder what your latest songs (i.e. the late 1990s and early 2000s) sounds like. I rarely hear your songs on the air, so I wonder where I could listen and/or buy your latest recordings?
I especially enjoy your songs that make reference to the Lord, such as: 'A Little Different' and 'We'll Be One by Two Today'. Other songs that are also moving are: 'Stoney', 'Still Have You' and 'Big Red Kite'.
There are many more songs that I enjoy such as: 'Me and You and A Dog Named Boo' and too many to list but I would love to listen to some of your later recordings, especially if they have been done in the same manner as the ones in the 1970's!

I have been a fan of Lobo's since the early 70s...but I didn't know, until I found this site, that he released an LP called "A cowboy afraid of horses", so I hope I can find a copy. I learned my rhythm guitar licks straight off "Of A Simple Man", an album that doesn't have a bad song on it. I loved, especially, all the traveling songs he wrote, so "Introducing Lobo" is a fine record, for me, too. I was surprised, though, to find most people think "Calumet" was his best album...it's nice, but I thot it was kinda "watered down" compared to the first two LPs. So, I can't wait to hear "Cowboy/Horses"...I love that clean, country-rock sound...and also wish that "California Kid and Reemo" and "Walk Away from it all" had been put on an album...those are two of my favorite Lobo songs. It's good stuff!

Today, driving home , just happen to put in my older cd collection of Lobo songs and these songs, " Sometimes ", "In the shelter of your eyes" started playing and the sense of how great a singer and a song writer Lobo is just overwhelms me so I have to write in to express my gratitude to you, Lobo. Such simple words, lyrics and song arrangements are so so so soothing and right to this day after 25 years of listening to you , I do believe you are still the best out there. To this day when I play I'd love you to want me the chills still travel down my spine. The talent Lobo has is overwhelming. This is truly one of the most polished songs of all time. It couldn't have been written better or performed better than when it was originally released. This man is so talented that he owes it to himself and all of us fans who truly know beautiful music when we hear it to write and release music today. There are so many awesome singers that the world has known but you can certainly compile a list of singer, songwriters that you would have to have with you if you were permanently stranded on an island somewhere and Lobo would defenately be there with me.
